Annie Ruttkay
Special Counsel
Born and raised in California, Annie Ruttkay is a 2018 graduate of the University of California, Davis, where she earned degrees in International Relations and Spanish. During her time at UC Davis, she was elected to serve as a Student Senator, where she helped manage the university’s $12 million student program budget and played a key role in implementing new policies and regulations for the student body.
Annie earned her Juris Doctor in 2021 from Oklahoma City University School of Law. While in law school, she was recognized with CALI Excellence Awards for earning the highest grades in Civil Practice & Procedure II and Evidence in Practice. She served as a member of the Oklahoma City University Law Review, publishing a comment on Oklahoma’s Stand Your Ground laws. Annie was also a member of the International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi and served as its elected Vice President.
Driven by a strong desire to serve others, Annie began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Oklahoma County, where she worked managing a felony docket of 80–100 cases. She gained extensive courtroom experience, including preliminary hearings, evidentiary hearings, revocation hearings, jury trials, bench trials, and blind pleas. She later transitioned into private practice, focusing on criminal defense.
Annie now serves as Special Counsel for Bennett | Vernier, where she handles criminal matters, including FOP Legal Defense cases. She is also a Certified Force Science® Analyst.
In her free time, Annie enjoys attending concerts, traveling, and playing sand volleyball with friends.
