Travis Vernier brings extensive litigation experience in state and federal courts, as well as in private arbitrations and governmental administrative hearings. His practice spans complex civil disputes, high-stakes administrative matters, and trial-level advocacy, where he draws on a unique blend of legal acumen and real-world public service experience.

Travis Vernier graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma City University School of Law as a Merit Scholar, and earned CALI Excellence Awards in Civil Procedure I, Legal Research and Writing II, Trial Practice, and Corporations Law, for scoring the highest grades in his class. He served as a Staff Editor for the Oklahoma City Law Review and was inducted into honor societies such as Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Delta Phi.

Before entering the practice of law, Travis devoted more than a decade to public service. He began his career as a volunteer firefighter in high school before serving as a full-time police officer with a major metropolitan department. Over the course of his law enforcement career, he held a variety of assignments, including Field Training Officer, Assistant Public Information Officer, and Detective in the Crimes Against Children Unit. In that role, he led complex investigations, including child homicides, and worked closely with the District Attorney’s Special Victims Unit. Travis also served on the police department’s Emergency Response Team.

His distinguished service earned him several commendations, including a Lifesaving Award for rescuing a man from a burning car, the Medal of Honor for heroism above and beyond the call of duty during a critical incident, and the Committee of 100’s H.K. "Tony" A. Calvert Award for bravery. He was also featured in national media for saving an elderly woman stranded just before her birthday. Travis retired after more than ten years of service as a Detective Sergeant and went on to co-found Bennett | Vernier alongside Les Bennett.

Travis is a Certified Force Science® Analyst and is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and Kansas. He is a member of Holloway Inn of Court and holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Law from Southern Nazarene University. Travis and his wife attend church in northwest Oklahoma City. When he's not in court, he can usually be found on a road bike somewhere in Oklahoma.
